I just want to be as happy as Deshaun Watson and Dabo Swinney in this ball pit

Here’s some Clemson love before the NFL draft.

Deshaun Watson and Dabo Swinney won a national title for Clemson in January, the quarterback and coach bringing the Tigers to their greatest height in decades. Watson’s now a top NFL draft prospect, and Swinney accompanied him to the draft in Philadelphia on Thursday. There is a ball pit. They went into it.

Here, via the NFL Network, is Swinney trust-falling into a pit of red and blue plastic balls. Look at the glee on his face as he begins his descent:

Watson also made the plunge and clearly felt accomplished for it:

Watson is the best player in Clemson school history. Swinney said in the winter that any NFL team passing on him would be, in effect, passing on Michael Jordan.

Watson’s Clemson teammates speak effusively about him, praising him for his poise and on-field ability. We now know that in addition to being calm in the pocket, Watson is calm in the ball pit.
