Jim Harbaugh wants to take his team to Paris, Normandy, or London next year

The Wolverines went to Rome just this past spring.

It’s been almost two months since Michigan’s trip to Rome, which the team called “a week of education and spring drills” when it was officially announced. It looks like the team had a lot of fun, and there was everything from head coach Jim Harbaugh opera singing to the team playing paintball, and a bunch of other cool things.

On Saturday, Harbaugh mentioned that he’s thinking about taking his team on another trip next season, perhaps to London, or a couple of other places in Europe.

“We took a straw poll,” Harbaugh said via Michigan Live. “Right now, we’re looking into going to Paris, then Normandy and then London -- we’d finish up in London.

“But (right now) to see Paris, Normandy and London -- that’s what we’re striving for.”

Michigan Live adds that the trip to Rome was funded by an anonymous private donor, and the one next year will likely be funded the same way. It’s a little interesting how Harbaugh could be able to do this, given that the Rome trip happened before the ban of traveling practices during school vacations went into effect.

It’s unclear how Harbaugh and Michigan would be able to do this given the current Power 5 rule that’s in place, but we’ll see.

If the trip is within the rules of the NCAA, why wouldn’t the head coach take his team to go see places of Europe? If I were a Michigan player, I’d be pretty pumped to go to any of these places, let alone all three.
