Florida becomes 4th school to win a title in football, baseball and men’s basketball
UF won its first college baseball title over LSU.

This is nothing if not vindication for coach Kevin O’Sullivan and the Florida program which has been elite for quite some time, advancing to six College World Series since 2010 including a runner-up finish in 2011.
There is also discrepancy here though and in the fact that Stanford and Cal won multiple football championships before World War II. But when digging deeper, the titles weren’t in the AP or Coaches polls and dubious at best in the annals of claimed national titles.
UF has had an exceptional all-around athletics program for quite some time.
Florida’s also cleaned up its sweep of major men’s sports titles in just over two decades. The school’s first AP/coaches poll football championship came in 1996, while the first basketball title came in 2006.
Other recent titles on this list includes UCLA’s baseball championship in 2013 and Ohio State’s football title in 2014.
