Ohio State’s recruiting class has us absolutely seeing stars. Check out this war chest of blue-chip recruits currently committed to OSU:
Ohio State now has commits from 9 of 2018’s top 88 recruits
And three more in the top 300.

On Friday night, the Buckeyes added one more, beating out Florida State for four-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell.
Our Ohio State blog, Land-Grant Holy Land, summed up his game:
Mitchell is the prototypical, hard-hitting inside linebacker who excels against the run. On tape, Mitchell resembles a previous five-star inside linebacker recruit under Urban Meyer: Raekwon McMillan. Like McMillan, Mitchell possesses great instincts in the run game and hits like a Mack Truck.
Ohio State’s building on what was already an exceptional stable of talent. Its 2017 recruiting class was arguably better than Alabama’s in terms of overall quality. Its only sin was that it lacked in quantity with 21 signees. Miami’s 2018 class is the only one currently better in the 247Sports Composite rankings, and it’s because the Canes have 18 commits to Ohio State’s 12.
Urban Meyer and Co. certainly aren’t done either. Five-star OT Jackson Carman, five-star DE Micah Parsons and five-star DB Anthony Cook are strongly considering playing their college ball in Columbus.
The class’ QB is already set, with five-star Emory Jones expected to be the future triggerman to Meyer’s offense.
Jones is the crown jewel on offense, while five-star DT Taron Vincent anchors the defense as perhaps the best DT commit Meyer has ever had.
The 2018 recruiting cycle hasn’t even truly gotten to a fever pitch yet. The summer camp circuit will soon be upon us, when some players will get to campus and be seen in person by Ohio State’s coaches for the first time. There will be on-the-spot commitments and more offers handed out to talented players.
In recruiting, the rich continually get richer. Ohio State’s rolling in the loot once again.
