Texas’ band hype video is probably better than your football team’s

Hook ‘em.

Production studios in college athletic programs prove that anything that can be slowed down and dubstepped should get that treatment. That means even Texas’ Showband of the Southwest can get its very own video:

The iconic uniforms are instantly recognizable as they run drills with the football team under the watchful eye of Tom Herman. Given the way the Longhorns have performed on the field, having some band members suit up might not be the worst idea in the world.

As far as intangibles go, this band member showed them off with the wherewithal to keep a hand up to make sure the hat stayed on. Nobody can coach that kind of situational awareness:

Excellent footwork displayed here as well. Good base. That player could probably learn a thing or two from his musical counterpart:

Those uniforms are probably absurdly hot in the Texas heat, and they do put in long hours to hone their craft. Clearly, marching band members might as well be athletes.
