Deion Sanders showed his son around Florida State as only he could

Prime Time taught his son a thing or two about Tallahassee.

There comes a time when dear old dad wants to impart some wisdom on the younger generation. And it’s those times which often strengthen a bond between father and son. If you played college football, like Deion Sanders, you’d likely want to show off your athletic exploits to your offspring. The elder Sanders did so over the weekend with his son, Shedeur.

First they took a spin through the locker room, where Deion’s exploits are immortalized on a plaque as well as a cool touch-screen video display.

He took care to remind his son that he “made more plays than Tyler Perry.”

And then they went into the tunnel where Deion taught him what it takes to walk out onto the field as a player.

And of course, he had to show off Doak Campbell Stadium too.

Sanders was in Tallahassee to help out with a skills camp put on by former Florida State WR Corey Fuller. He gave props to his Nole roots:

“If it weren’t for people like Bobby Bowden, Mickey Andrews, Jimmy Callaway, just to name a few, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Sanders said. “They instilled the discipline, the respect, the dedication and they gave me the structure to be where I am today and I’m fully appreciative.”

Shedeur is still a long way away from college football as a class of 2021 athlete. He’s one of five Sanders children and the youngest of three boys.

Deion’s oldest son, Deion Jr., recently played at SMU. His middle son, Shilo, is a three-star recruit who reportedly has garnered some offers from Oregon and Texas A&M.

We’ll see if Shedeur ends up following his father in garnet and gold.
