Lee Corso went back to Indiana ... and picked Ohio State against his former school

Corso’s IU allegiances did not extend to his pick.

Corso

Lee Corso is in Bloomington, Ind., on Thursday night. Specifically, he’s doing College GameDay at Indiana, where he coached from 1973 to 1982, before he embarked on a career in broadcasting that’s made him one of the sport’s most beloved figures.

But whatever love Corso has for the Hoosiers, it doesn’t extend wide enough for him to pick them to upset Ohio State as 20.5-point underdogs at home. At the end of Thursday night’s GameDay episode — the first ever for football at IU — Corso pulled out a Brutus the Buckeye mascot headpiece and picked the Buckeyes to win.

Respect to Corso for going against a team that he probably still has some affection for and then being willing to lean into it. His Buckeye headgear pick did what it usually does when Corso picks against the home team: solicited boos from all around Memorial Stadium. Corso was cool with it, just like always.
