This sideline analyst bumped into a ref and got the meanest glare of the year

In the end, all was fine.

SEC Network reporter Cole Cubelic was doing what looked like a routine bit of sideline analysis on Thursday, during Arkansas’ season opener against Florida A&M.

Then this happened:

Cubelic’s just looking down at the ground, saying something about football players coming out of a three-point space. Cubelic is a former offensive lineman himself, having played the position at Auburn in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This is a perfectly good thing for him to be talking about on this game broadcast.

And then, out of nowhere (or out of a very predictable spot on the sideline, where it’s literally his job to be standing), an official bumps into Cubelic. The ref in this clip is the side judge, whose name is Michael Williams, per Arkansas’ notes for the game.

The analyst appeared to have no idea how long the ref’s glare at him lasted, and that’s probably for the best, because there is no way he’d have been able to continue the shot with a straight face. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to pull it off.
