This was a very bad moment for Ohio State H-back Parris Campbell:
Ohio State’s Parris Campbell had a brutal drop ... and made up for it with this 74-yard TD
He’s had quite a night.

Campbell sprang free against Indiana’s secondary on Thursday night, on a third-and-2 from the Hoosiers’ 41-yard line, with the Buckeyes trailing 14-13 in the third quarter. J.T. Barrett dropped in a nice pass, and Campbell, um, did not catch it.
The throw from Barrett wasn’t perfect, but it was close enough. Campbell had two steps on Indiana’s Chase Dutra, and he didn’t have to do anything but squeeze the ball.
These drops happen every season in both the NFL and college. There is no great receiver or bad receiver in the world who hasn’t committed one.
OK, so that was bad. Now here’s a very good moment for Parris Campbell:
Campbell got over a rough moment. He had a 28-yard catch-and-run on Ohio State’s next drive, and then he had this 74-yard catch-and-run score later on. This one put Ohio State in front, 27-21, in the third quarter of a hotly contested game. Campbell got one block in the open field and was then, for all intents and purposes, gone.
Coaches talk a lot about having a short memory in sports. I don’t know where Campbell’s head was after that drop, but he certainly made up for it.
