Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is out here living his best life, folks. In the third quarter, the Oklahoma Sooners were trailing 31-28 to the Baylor Bears in Waco. Mayfield was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after a play was over, and his response on the very next play was hitting receiver Jeff Badet for a 48-yard touchdown. That’s right — on the very next play.
Baker Mayfield throwing a long TD one play after drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty is the complete Baker Mayfield experience
It’s MayfieldSZN, folks.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a visual for what the penalty was for. He could have said something after a play, though somehow, very few people seem to have seen what happened, not even the beat writers covering the game in Waco. But Mayfield scoring a touchdown right after is a complete Mayfield move. He was fired up before the game even began — during team warm-ups, he declared the Sooners to be Baylor’s fathers, with spankings inbound:
He had this to say online the day before, too:
Mayfield started hot, with two long touchdowns early on, followed by a 99-yard Abdul Adams rush. The Bears came back though, scoring ten points in the third quarter to take a 31-28 lead over the Sooners. But Mayfield’s touchdown pass gave his team the lead back, and his offense scored another rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to seemingly put Naylor away.
Between planting flags at Ohio State, getting named Ohio State Stadium’s owner by Siri and Wikipedia, and taunting some Buckeye fans, the Heisman contender has made quite a name for himself already. This latest touchdown just adds to the complete Mayfield experience, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
