The New York Jets are a very bad football team. When you’re bad at the professional level, good things can happen if you get a high draft pick and use it correctly. We’ll see how it pans out, but the Jets were so passionate about Sam Darnold they immediately submitted their pick when they went on the clock at No. 3.

Some people believed that junior Sam Darnold was a no-brainer months ago, for instance, and some Jets/Trojan fans are getting out ahead of things.

But I was interested in what it would set me back to purchase one of these Darnold Jets jerseys, so I hopped on over to NFLshop.com and priced one out in September.

One hundred fifty dollars is a pretty penny to spend on a player who at the time very well might not have ended up becoming a New York Jet. He wasn’t even a lock to enter the draft at the time.
But clearly those guys had the gumption to take a chance and put their money where their mouth is.
