Those four are followed by the team that was controversially left out at the No. 4 spot and that then went on to blow out the Pac-12’s champ in the Cotton Bowl, then by the team that declared itself national champ after finishing unbeaten and landing transitive wins over the title game’s teams via the Peach Bowl. Orange Bowl winner Wisconsin is up next, followed by Fiesta Bowl winner Penn State.
This is the last ranking until next season’s preseason poll in August. Here’s a peek at what that’ll look like, more or less.
