The best college football gambling picks for Championship Week
The early betting lines often allow for the most value.

Last week I went 13-6. I beat the closing line consistently. My main goal is to beat the closing line in a meaningful way, and the wins follow.
I often tell readers that the best bets can be found in the opening lines on Sunday afternoons. Lines tend to be sharper after they’ve been bet all week. Most of my plays are made early in the week. Note that some of the lines below have since changed.
Of course, if you’re trying to bet thousands of dollars on each game, the low limits (typically $250-500 max bets per game) early in the week can be a hindrance, but I’m figuring most of my readership is playing $100 per game or less. Bet Online and Bookmaker usually have the first odds up, around 3:30 each Sunday.
Because I make these wagers throughout the week, I order them by when they were made.

With a reduced slate of games, I obviously will not be playing 20 games this week.
- Memphis +7 (-120) at UCF: Without McKenzie Milton, no way should UCF be laying a touchdown to the Tigers, who looked good the last few weeks.
- Georgia +10.5 v. Alabama: Georgia’s offense has really gotten in gear, and is a lot better than any offense Alabama has played this year.
- Utah at Washington -3.5 (-105): Washington’s defense should shut down Utah’s offense which is without its starting QB and RB.
That’s it. I don’t see much of an edge in the other games at this point. If Oklahoma drops from -8 to -7 or better, I’ll probably add it to the column.
