We had a pretty good idea Georgia would be a top 10 at the beginning of November. Kentucky? Not as much.
Georgia vs. Kentucky 2018 live stream: Time, TV schedule, prediction, and how to watch online
The winner goes to the SEC Championship Game.

The Wildcats have been the SEC’s most surprising team (with apologies to LSU) after a 7-1 start pushed them to No. 9 in the first edition of 2018’s College Football Playoff rankings. Kentucky has beaten opponents like Florida, Mississippi State, and Missouri en route to a 5-1 conference record that has Mark Stoops’ team on the brink of a possible SEC East title.
But standing in its way is a Georgia team that was minutes away from a national title last winter. The Bulldogs’ quest to return to the CFP was briefly derailed by a loss in Baton Rouge, but a victory over the top-10 Wildcats would clinch the East, ensure a date in the resume-boosting SEC Championship Game, and give UGA another quality win before its schedule takes a downturn in its final three weeks.
Georgia vs. Kentucky prediction:
The S&P+ ratings are still bullish on the Bulldogs, slotting them in at No. 5 in the nation. UK doesn’t get the same respect; Kentucky clocks in at No. 29 — two spots behind the Missouri team they beat last week.
The Wildcats can use that disrespect to fuel them against a team loaded with superior recruits, but UGA is on a very different level than the rest of the SEC teams they’ve faced this fall. Bulldogs by nine.

Georgia vs. Kentucky news:
- Looking for the most fun game of Week 10? You found it.
- The Wildcat defense is led by pass rusher Josh Allen, who suddenly looks like a top three pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
“Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky. If you’re drafting a pass rusher this high, ideally you’d like him to be, for example, Khalil Mack. Given that the Raiders traded Mack before the season, Allen might not be a bad consolation prize. He’s had a fantastic season to date, and seems to get better in every aspect from one week to the next. He had two sacks and two forced fumbles against Missouri last week, bringing his season totals to 10 and five, respectively. “
- UGA has plenty to worry about Saturday, but the Kentucky passing offense isn’t on the list.
- The Kentucky defense is ready for a matchup against one of the nation’s top offenses — but can they keep pace?
Can Benny Snell make this the Wildcats’ best year since 1977?
Those ‘77 Wildcats went undefeated in SEC play during a 10-1 campaign, but NCAA discipline kept them from making a postseason appearance that winter. This year’s team won’t have that problem, and a one-loss regular season will earn them a spot in a New Year’s Day bowl. They’ll need Snell to keep up his All-SEC level of play to get there. Snell’s averaged 120 rushing yards per game while serving as the engine that’s powered an otherwise anemic offense.
While the UK defense has been stellar this fall, the Wildcats may struggle to contain an explosive Georgia team. That means they’ll have to get a big performance from Snell in order to keep pace. UGA’s allowed more than 4.2 yards per rush this fall, and that will give the veteran back plenty of opportunities to shine on a national stage Saturday.
