On Saturday against No. 1 Alabama, No. 4 Georgia gets to be the underdog for the first time since the last time it played Alabama. Maybe the Dawgs will relish their rare role.
The UGA alumni account tried to get a bunch of rivals to root for Georgia. It went as expected.
Reading any of these tweets out loud might make you so uncomfortable that you never go on Twitter again.

You know who’s really into being the under-dawg, though? Georgia’s thirsty alumni association Twitter account. In the run-up to the game, whoever controls this handle fired off a hopeful tweet to an official account associated with every other school in the SEC (except Bama), urging folks who like that school to root for the Dawgs.
Get it? It’s funny, because Bama’s really good.
Here, I will rank these tweets by thirst. Feel free to close this window if you get too uncomfortable after reading any of these 280-character-or-less entreaties.
1. Vanderbilt
Hey, Vanderbilt. We heard Bama was running around telling people you guys like “drugs.” As if that’s, like, a bad thing. Join us, a bunch of fellow kids who know how to have a good time, and be a #DawgForADay this Saturday.
At least that’s how I read it.
2. Arkansas
It’s just so incredibly obscure and feels so unnatural, even by the standards of this list.
3. LSU
Cute, but settle down, Dawgs.
4. Florida
I haven’t seen a reach like that since Manute Bol was in the NBA.
5. Tennessee
Turning this game into the Third Saturday in October would mean the Dawgs losing by 40 points. Are you sure that’s what you want, Georgia Twitter Account?
6. Kentucky
What?
7. Missouri
Mizzou fans actually do not recall that game at all. Why would you ask?
8. Mississippi State
I’m yawning.
9. Ole Miss
Both Ole Miss’ local police department and the school alumni account itself rightfully shot this idea down shortly after the UGA alum account put it forward:
So, if we win, we’ll get to have fun like you once had. OK.
That was the only fair response.
10. Auburn
Not entirely inaccurate, I guess. Auburn responded as it should have:
11. South Carolina
Weird, but not overtly making me cringe..
12. Texas A&M
This one is fine.
