Alabama took a 35-0 lead against UL-Lafayette about a minute into the second quarter in Week 5. There’s no real point to this game existing, other than to make some money for the Ragin’ Cajuns and fill out Bama’s four-game non-SEC schedule.

You get the point of how this game’s gone. It’s gone the same as every other Bama game in the 2018 season — a blowout of Louisville, a blowout of Arkansas State, a blowout of Ole Miss, and a blowout of Texas A&M (although the Aggies did fight gamely). Alabama games aren’t competitive anymore, not that they ever were. But you can count on lots of players getting plenty of exercise on Saturday afternoon, and building relationships that will last a lifetime while they do.
