Sunday’s NCAA Division 1 hockey schedule only features two games, but one of them features two top 25 teams and looks to be a solid matchup. The fourth-ranked Boston College Eagles is on the road against the No. 17 Merrimack Warriors.
College Hockey schedule 2012: Boston College vs. Merrimack in top 25 battle
No. 17 Merrimack plays host to No. 4 Boston College on Sunday in the season’s rubber match.


Boston College has three of the nation’s top 15 scorers, with Johnny Gaudreau 10th in the country and Pat Mullane and Steven Whitney tied for 13th. They’ll take their best shots against Merrimack netminder Sam Marotta Jr., whose 2.01 goals against average and .931 save percentage is first in the East. The two teams have met twice this year, with Boston College taking the first game back in November, 4-3, and Merrimack gaining revenge with a 2-1 overtime win on Feb. 15. The puck drops for Sunday’s game at 4 p.m. ET.
In other top 25 action, the No. 18 Wisconsin Badgers host the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Badgers are 13-10-7, while Penn State has struggled to a 12-13-0 record. Sunday’s game is the first of two between the teams, That game takes place at 8:05 p.m. ET.
