2012 College Hockey schedule: conference tournaments begin

Men’s college hockey is getting into postseason tournament action. Here’s a look at some notable games for Friday night.

Several college hockey conference tournaments begin Friday evening as the rest of the nation wraps of regular season action. The Atlantic Hockey Association, Central Collegiate Hockey Association and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference will all hold first-round tournament action.

Here are the opening games for each conference.

AHA:

Robert Morris vs. Sacred Heart, 7:05 p.m. ET

RIT vs. American International, 7:05 p.m. ET

Mercyhurst vs. Army, 7:35 p.m. ET

Canisius vs. Bentley, 7:05 p.m. ET

CCHA:

Michigan vs. Northern Michigan, 7:35 p.m. ET

Alaska vs. Michigan State, 7:05 p.m. AT

Lake Superior vs. Bowling Green, 7:35 p.m. ET

ECAC:

St. Lawrence vs. Colgate, 7:00 p.m. ET

Princeton vs. Cornell, 7:00 p.m. ET

Dartmouth vs. Harvard, 7:00 p.m. ET

Brown vs. Clarkson, 7:00 p.m. ET

No. 2 ranked Minnesota will take on Bemidji State as it prepares to finish its regular season. The Golden Gophers are 22-7-5 overall to this point. No. 7 Massachusetts-Lowell faces No. 18 Providence in one of the few ranked matchups.
