Pakistan will be aiming for a clean sweep when they play Bangladesh in the third and the final ODI of the series at Chittagong on December 6. The visitors lead the three-match series 2-0.

Pakistan v Bangladesh 3rd ODI live starts at 1330 hours local time (0730 hours GMT), December 6.

It has been a fairly one-sided series so far, with Pakistan having not only won everything so far, but also done that with ease. In the first two games – including the one-off T20I – Bangladesh failed to get to even 100. They finally showed some resilience with the bat in their chase of 263, when a Nassir Hossain century got them to 186 in the 50 overs. But the game was gone long before Hossain came to the crease after Bangladesh had lost four wickets for 19.

Pakistan will also be somewhat relieved with their batting in the second ODI. While they had been winning the games, the performance had been less than convincing with the bat and captain Misbah ul Haq had said so in as many words.

They got to 262 but what will have appeased the captain more is the fact that there were five scores of 30 or more. One of them, Umar Akmal, got to a half-century, and despite the rest not converting the starts, it will augur well for their confidence.

One can expect more runs on a better Chittagong track where the ball should bounce more than it has so far.

It has been a spin-dominated story so far in the series with Shakib al Hasan doing the job for Bangladesh and Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal restricting the opposition for Pakistan. Where the visitors have an advantage is that they have two backup spin bowlers, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, both of who have done a decent job with the ball.

Pakistan should wrap this up quickly and win it 3-0 unless Bangladesh can rediscover their lost mojo at the top of their innings.
