Sri Lanka will have a new cricket coach, Graham Ford, as they look set to replace Geoff Marsh after only a couple of tours. After a dismal time since the end of the World Cup this year, the Sri Lankan board had earlier decided to give the cricket in the country a new direction by naming a new panel of selectors to replace the old ones.
Graham Ford Could Take Over As Sri Lanka Coach
Former South Africa coach Graham Ford could be named the Sri Lankan coach to replace Geoff Marsh from the pedestal.

Marsh’s time as the coach of the side was restricted to less than five months as the Sri Lankan team veered from one loss to another in that period. He was in charge for the tours of Pakistan and South Africa and the side lost in both formats of the game in both those series.
Earlier, after the resignation of Trevor Bayliss as the coach of the side at the end of the World Cup, the board had appointed Stuart Law but he chose to depart after only one series against England. Then, Rumesh Ratnayake took over for a series before Marsh was handed over the reins.
Now Ford will take over after being the coach of South Africa from 1999 to 2001. Later he was offered the post of the director of cricket in 2004 before moving to Dolphins in 2006. He was offered the role of coaching the Indian team by the BCCI in June 2007 but refused to join in and later was one of the shortlisted candidates for the role of coaching England.
