Danny Briggs will join Graeme Swann and Samit Patel as the three spinners of the English ODI squad that takes on Pakistan in the UAE. England meet Pakistan in a four-match series starting from February 13.
England Squad For Pakistan ODIs Announced
Danny Briggs and Jos Buttler will be a part of the England ODI squad to play Pakistan.

Middle-order batsman Jos Buttler has also been inducted in the 16-member ODI squad while there is no place for Ian Bell, who has been out of form through the Test series. England went down to Pakistan 0-3 in the recently concluded Tests and Bell scored 51 runs in six innings.
Buttler is already a part of the English T20I squad and will look to seal his middle-order spot as a destructive batsman in the middle of the innings – especially with Kevin Pietersen showing signs of having lost his form as well.
Tim Bresnan also joins the side back after having missed the Test matches because of an injury. He suffered from an elbow injury but passed his fitness tests to make his comeback into the ODI squad.
The rest of the England ODI squad isn’t too different from the one that played at home against India – Alastair Cook will lead the team, with Craig Kieswetter as his opening partner and wicket-keeper. Jonathon Trott and Pietersen should form the middle-order while Eoin Morgan will be an important cog in the middle-order.
ODI squad:
Alastair Cook (captain), James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Danny Briggs, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Jade Dernbach, Steven Finn, Craig Kieswetter (wk), Eoin Morgan, Samit Patel, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott
