Sachin Tendulkar Scores Hundredth Century

After what has been a long wait, Sachin Tendulkar finally scored his hundredth century, against Bangladesh on Friday. In the fourth game of the ongoing Asia Cup in Dhaka, Tendulkar compiled a masterful knock of 114 off 147 balls, to take India to a competitive total of 289. One reaching his century, Sachin celebrated in a subdued manner, showing relief than joy at reaching the epic landmark.
Tendulkar had last scored a century more than a year back against South Africa in the World Cup 2011 game. With the form that he was in at that time, the hundredth ton seemed like something that will be scored in a matter of little time. But the wait has been long and frustrating, not just for the fans but for Tendulkar himself, who spoke candidly to the media saying, "Yes, I have to be honest. I am human and I have emotions so I was frustrated. It does play on your mind".
Tendulkar now has 49 hundreds in the one-day format of the game, to go with his 52 centuries in Tests. His tally of international centuries is 29 more then the next person on the table. 53 of his centuries have come in a winning cause. He also has 28 scores in the nineties. He already holds most batting records in the game, being the highest run-getter in both forms of the game.
