Bangladesh Play Sri Lanka In A Must-Win Match

Who would have thought before the Asia Cup began; that the weakest team will stand a chance of making it to the finals and the strongest team would be knocked out with one match to go. But that is the situation we find ourselves in, with Bangladesh a win away from a place in the finals.
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza will be happy with the team’s performance so far. They blew up a very good chance for a win against Pakistan before winning against India chasing a stuff total. The batting has looked especially good with Tamim Iqbal and Shakid Al Hasan scoring consistently. Younger batsmen like Mushfiqur Rahim and Nassir Hossain have stepped when the situation has required them to do so. The bowling could do with a little more consistency but the effort by spinners Al Hasan, Abdur Razzak have done a commendable job.
Sri Lanka on the other hand has had a disappointed Asia Cup after the high in the Australia. Their batting has failed to put runs on board. The failure of experienced top order of Dilshan, Jayawardene and Sangakkara has exposed the lack of experience of the middle order. The fielding has also been below standard and that has added to the woes of the bowlers. A win at this juncture will only restore the pride but they will take it.
India will be watching the match closely as a win for Bangladesh will mean that Dhoni and his men will have to pack their bags and head home. The context of the match provides for an exciting prospect.
