Delhi Daredevils beat Mumbai Indians comprehensively by seven wickets to go to the top of the points table at Mumbai on Monday.

Chasing only 93 for victory, Delhi got there in the 15th over, having lost only three wickets. Sehwag top scored with 32 before Jayawadene and Taylor guided Delhi toward the target. Mumbai’s total was the lowest score by a team in during this season in Indian Premier League (IPL).

It was Delhi’s superlative bowling and some poor batting on Mumbai’s part that cost Mumbai the match. Put into bat after losing the toss, the openers Levi and Jacobs fund scoring difficult. After playing nine dot balls, Jacobs fell to Nadeem. Nadeem had Levi too in the fourth over as his and Pathan’s consistently tight bowling yielded rewards. Rayudu was runout in a confusion and Pollard and Sharma fell trying fancy shots. When Karthik fell, the score was 43 for 6. Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan played some delightful strokes to score 33 before Delhi bowlers came back to finish off the remaining batting. Rohit Sharma was the only other Mumbai batsman who got to double figures. His chancy 29 never materialized into a big score. For Delhi Yadav, Morkel and Agarkar bowled with good pace on a pitch that offered good bounce. All of them took two wickets a piece.
