IPL: Bangalore Beat Pune In A Close Match

Ashish Nehra gave away 24 runs in the last over of the match, as Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Pune Warriors by six wickets at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.
Chasing a huge total of 182, Bangalore began slowly. They were unable to get the tight Pune bowling away and wickets fell at regular intervals. When Kohli became the third Bangalore wicket to fall, 111 was needed of 50. Kolhi’s dismissal though seemed to fire up Gayle who so far had scored 37 of 35, as hit five sixes in Rahul Sharma’s next over. The big hitting though didn’t perturb the Pune bowling as they continued to bowl well. The good bowling also yielded Gayle’s wicket for 81. IN the last over with 21 needed, de Villers first and Tiwary later hit Nehra out of the ground, to help Bangalore clinch the tie.
Bangalore yet again bowled poorly allowing Pune to put up a big score. Uttapa batted brialliantly to score 69 in only 60 balls while Ryder played a steady knock of 34. Samuels then came in later half of the innings to give the innings the impetus needed by scoring 34 of only 20 balls. The bowling was nothing to write home about as almost all bowlers struggled to control the Pune batsmen. It was their batting though which saved them of yet another defeat.
