Delhi Daredevils had a rude awakening, as the Chennai Super Kings keep pushing teams hard in their thrust for the top four position. CSK produced a clinical performance to thump their opposition by 9 wickets, and had 28 balls to spare.

Putting DD into bat, CSK went about dismantling their top order through Hilfenhaus and Morkel. The former has a number on Sehwag right from the series Down Under, and he continued his ascendancy. Sehwag was bowled by the big Australian for four. Warner and Ojha too got dismissed by Hilfy for next to nothing. When Jayawardena fell to Morkel, the innings was in tatters. Venugopal Rao and Yogesh Nagar took the team to 114 through some doggedness mixed with big hitting. All the bowlers chipped in to keep the strong batting line up to a below par score.

CSK were in no mood to let-up and kept the pressure on their opposition during the chase. Hussey and Vijay put on a stand of 75 runs in 10 overs. Raina who came in at the fall of Hussey's wicket, looked to be a man in a lot of hurry and wanted to get done with the game fast. He and Vijay did not waste any time and finished off the Daredevils in 15.2 overs itself. Vijay scored a fluent 48* while Raina ended with 29*.

The big win improves the CSK net run rate, as the race for the no.4 spot gets even hotter.
