Tour de France 2013, Stage 21: Route, TV schedule and more

The final stage of the 2013 Tour de France will be purely ceremonial as Chris Froome only needs to finish on Sunday to earn the general classification win.

The 100th Tour de France will come to an end on Sunday in a final stage that will be purely ceremonial as each of the prize jerseys have already been decided. As long as something bizarre doesn’t occur, Chris Froome, Peter Sagan and Nairo Quintana will finish as the owners of the four prize jerseys.

Froome will be the winner of the most prestigious yellow jersey recognizing a win in the general classification, while Sagan will win the green jersey for winning the points classification. Quintana will be the winner of the white and polka-dot jerseys for wins in the mountains and young rider classifications.

Sunday’s stage will begin in Versailles before finishing in Paris 133.5 kilometers later. The flat stage will highlight sprinters once the stage switches from the countryside to the stones of the Champs Élysées.

SB Nation’s cycling blog, Podium Cafe, offers up a prediction for which rider will win the stage:

Mark Cavendish. He hasn’t lost on the Champs yet, are you really going to bet against him?

Here is a look at a map of the stage course, once again via Podium Cafe. NBC Sports Network will begin live coverage of Stage 21 at 6 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 21. The network will also stream it live on NBC Sports Live Extra for those subscribed:
