Grant Holt might have signaled a return to his form from the last two years with a brilliant goal to put Norwich ahead of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but the Canaries’ joy was short-lived. Chelsea equalized quickly after Holt’s opener, then went on to demolish them in an easy 4-1 win.

Fernando Torres scored his fourth goal of the year, while the attacking trio of Oscar, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata overwhelmed Norwich in a 4-1 Chelsea victory.

Holt's goal came on a stunning volley in the 11th minute, from 12 yards on a header by Leon Barnett. Unfortunately for neutrals and supporters of Norwich alike, their lead lasted just three minutes. Fernando Torres netted the equalizer with a strike of similar quality, netting his fourth goal of the Premier League season.
Frank Lampard hit a great volley from the edge of the penalty area into the back of the net in the 22nd minute, scoring in similar fashion to Holt. That was essentially game over, but the Blues piled on a couple more goals for good measure. Eden Hazard scored Chelsea's third in the 31st minute off of a brilliant through ball by Juan Mata. The Blues' final goal came by way of Branislav Ivanovic, who finished off a lucky backheel assist that Oscar didn't appear to make intentionally.
