One week a meek and mild mannered team willing to roll over for anyone, the next a self-confident and aggressive powerhouse capable of smashing anyone’s face in. It’s like someone made a mash up of Fight Club and the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde...and disguised it all as a soccer match.
Which Spurs side shows up is important because Spurs need to beat Liverpool if they are serious about contending for a European spot. No disrespect to the Reds, but that's how this works. Of course, Liverpool have been significantly better this season against teams above them in the table than their equals or those below them, so maybe Andre Villas-Boas hopes that his opponents today are preparing for the meek Spurs.
This could be turned around of course for Liverpool who would love nothing more than meek Spurs with their at time leaky defense to make an appearance so Luis Suarez can score goals like kids eat their Halloween candy (for the record that would be fast, greedily and in great volume). Of course, Liverpool have themselves been acting out 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' this season so they have their own issues to deal with.
At the very least it’s an intriguing match-up between two teams that have looked both quite good and quite awful at times this season. We’ll just have to wait and see what combination we get today at White Hart Lane. Will it be The Narrator vs. Mr. Hyde? Maybe Tyler Durden vs. Dr Jekyll?
This could go on forever. If only Carlos Tevez was involved in this match and we could makes jokes about him looking like Fredric March as Mr. Hyde in the 1931 version of the film.

Liverpool injuries and suspensions
Out: Lucas Leiva (thigh), Martin Kelly (knee), Fabio Borini (foot).. In Doubt: Andre Wisdom (knee)
Lucas Leiva played an hour for Liverpool's U-21 side on Friday but is still not quite ready for a first team return. Andre Wisdom could make his return from a knee injury, but it's not likely. For Spurs, Adebayor is serving the second game of his three match red card ban. Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto and Parker remain out with long term injuries. Mousa Dembele played 15 minute against West Ham and should make the bench.
