Manchester United vs. Everton: Lineups

After Manchester City's shocking defeat against Southampton yesterday, Manchester United are ridiculously close to unofficially ending the 2013 EPL title race. They can take a big step towards officially ending things by taking care of business against Everton, one of only three teams to beat them in the league this year.

With a massive Champions League match against Real Madrid coming up, Alex Ferguson has rested a couple regular starters presumably to keep them fresh for Wednesday. Ryan Giggs gets a rare start, while Michael Carrick who is just returning from injury will get a little more time to recover. No surprises up front though where Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie both start.

Pretty standard fair from David Moyes and Everton now that they're actually getting healthy. Kevin Mirallas and Darron Gibson being back in the lineup will help a bit but they're going to need a superb effort to get any points today. Victor Anichebe continues to get the nod up front ahead of Nikica Jelavić who has struggled to find his form lately.

Manchester United starting lineup (4-2-3-1): David De Gea, Rafael, Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidić, Phil Jones; Jonny Evans, Tom Cleverley; Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs; Robin Van Persie.

Everton starting lineup (4-4-1-1): Tim Howard; Phil Neville, Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin, Leighton Baines; Kevin Mirallas, Darron Gibson, Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar; Marouane Fellaini; Victor Anichebe.
