Watch Gregg Popovich’s four-word between-quarter interview

The Spurs’ head man was in vintage form during Game 3 against the Thunder.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Gregg Popovich’s between-quarter interviews have been unusually chipper this postseason ... until Sunday’s Game 3 against the Thunder. Here’s a transcript.

DAVID ALDRIDGE: How do you think your starters responded to the change in lineup by Oklahoma City?

POPOVICH: Fine.

DA: How was the pace in the first quarter? Was it what you wanted?

POPOVICH: Yes it was.

DA: Thank you Pop.

POPOVICH: It’s been a pleasure, David.

I’d like to imagine Popovich trudging along to the bridge keeper in Monty Python, then refusing to answer his question about the air velocity of unladen swallows because the bridge keeper is only allowed two questions.
