Brandon Lloyd, Frank Gore Doing America Proud In London’s Broncos-49ers Meeting

Though the London matchup between the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers has been about as ugly as Roger Gooddell likely feared, Niners RB Frank Gore and Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd are doing their parts to showcase NFL football to the world. How can American football be all that bad when it involves Frank Gore and Brandon Lloyd?

Gore has 87 yards on 18 carries, while Lloyd has contributed 95 yards on three catches. Broncos QB Kyle Orton is up to 183 yards with no touchdowns. No other 49er has more than 12 yards, and Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno is the game's only other player to exceed 20 yards.

Oh, and Tim Tebow scored a touchdown, set up by Lloyd's 71-yard catch. If you started Tebow today, we'd like a look at your depth chart. Maybe you were thinking London weather would ground Orton and force the Broncos to trot out the Tebowcat on every play?
