With ten total touchdowns already, Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis has established himself as a weekly fantasy must-play. He’s scored already today, on an 11-yard pass from QB Colt McCoy, and has 111 total yards early in the second. But when do we have to start considering giving McCoy a start?
Peyton Hillis Is A Fantasy Star, But What About Colt McCoy?
Counting rushing yards, McCoy went over 200 against the New England Patriots and New York Jets in back-to-back weeks. And he’s off to a hot start against the Jacksonville Jaguars today, with 145 yards so far. He hasn’t thrown an interception since his debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he now has four touchdowns in a little over 17 quarters of pro football.
The Browns don’t ask McCoy to do too much, which limits his fantasy scoring potential, but also limits the possibility of a turnover flurry. With a weapon like Hillis who can turn a dumpoff pass into a 47-yard gain, McCoy will be a safe play from here on out. He’s played against very tough defenses already, and should only get better.
