With Ben Roethlisberger Around, Don’t Drop Emmanuel Sanders Just Yet

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Emmanuel Sanders was supposed to be a one-week fill-in for the injured Hines Ward. Ward owners who picked up Sanders weren’t disappointed, as he found the end zone last week in a five-catch, 41-yard day. And the returner may have earned himself a role in Pittsburgh’s offense.

Ward’s back in action today, but Sanders has just as many first-half targets as Ward does. Sanders took one in for a score as well, and has 35 total yards. He also hasn’t returned any kicks today, but if he’s ever able to fill both sets of shoes in one game, he could put together a nice day in fantasy leagues that reward return yardage.

QB Ben Roethlisberger has scored two touchdowns, one of them on the ground. Ward has three catches for 28 yards, suggesting he’s back in business after a week off.
