Mike Goodson, David Gettis, And Brian St. Pierre: The Fantasy Stars Of Tomorrow?

Fantasy football owners: you may not be prepared for this, but two Carolina Panthers, RB Mike Goodson and WR David Gettis, are having very good days today against the Baltimore Ravens. Goodson is one decent carry away from his second straight 100-yard rushing game, plus he’s caught four passes for 24 yards. And Gettis is within range of his career high of 125 yards after pulling in an 88-yard touchdown pass from QB Brian St. Pierre. Gettis has 92 so far today.

And then there’s St. Pierre. In his first NFL start and against a very experienced defense, St. Pierre has completed 11 passes for 146 yards and a score. He hasn’t thrown any picks.

Without that one bomb to Gettis he’d have 58 entire yards late in the fourth quarter, but hush. We never, ever get to write about the Panthers in this space. Besides, he has the least gruesome numbers of any quarterback Carolina has tried out this season anyway.

UPDATE: About nine seconds after posting this, St. Pierre threw a pick six. Still ... Mike Goodson and David Gettis, y’all.

UPDATE: And another one. So sorry for the jinx, Cats fans.
