Peyton Hillis Hits The 1000 Rushing Yard Mark

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis reached the 1000 yard rushing mark early into the first quarter of the Browns match up against the Buffalo Bills. With 13:23 left in the first quart, an eight yard run by Hillis valuted him over the 1000 yard rushing mark and became the ninth running back this season to hit 1000 rushing yards.

Entering the game Hillis had 962 yards on the season, putting him in tenth in the NFL in rushing yards. After being almost non-existent as a rusher during his time with the Denver Broncos, the 6'1", 240 pound Hillis has found himself new life in Cleveland. Hillis has already eclipsed his career numbers this season, having rushed 71 times, in two season, for 343 yards and six touchdowns for the Broncos (this season he has, going into today's game, 217 carries for 962 yard and 11 touchdowns).

Heading into half time, Hills has 72 rushing yards on 12 carries and one fumble.
