Ryan Torain Has Over 100 Rushing Yards In First Quarter

It’s no mystery that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ undersized defensive front struggles against defending the run. They rank No. 26 this season and are giving up 128.5 yards per game on the ground on average.

Today, Washington Redskins’ running back Ryan Torain has been the benefactor, and he is really punching them in the mouth running in between the tackles. As a result, they have looked to an extremely run-heavy offense to move the chains.

At the end of the first quarter, Torain has carried the ball 10 times for 121 yards, and is averaging 12.1 yards per carry!

He also set a Redskins’ first quarter rushing record, which was previously held by RB Clinton Portis (88 yards in 2004).

We look for the Redskins to continue to pound the football in between the tackles against this Tampa Bay defensive front which really struggles against quality power-running offenses. Expect a lot of running, today.
