The Cincinnati Bengals listed star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as inactive for its game today against the San Diego Chargers.
Fantasy Football News, Week 16: Chad Ochocinco Inactive Against Chargers
Ochocinco, known as much for his mouth and antics on-and-off the field as his big play abilities, has bone spurs in his ankle. Due to the painful nature of the bone spurs Ochocinco was listed as inactive by the Bengals. With teammate Terrell Owens out as well, in his case for the rest of the 2010 NFL season, Ochocinco will watch as the Bengals go with a youthful wide receiving corps. Andre Cadwell and former Texas Longhorns star Jordan Shipley will likely start at wide receiver for the injury plagued and underachieving Bengals.
In 14 games this season (12 starts), Ochocinco had 67 receptions for 831 yards and 4 touchdowns. This season was on pace to be the third worst of Ochocinco’s career - his rookie season, in 2001, was his worst and 2008, an injury filled season, his second worst.
