Adrian Peterson has struggled through the first half of the Minnesota Vikings game against the Chicago Bears. He has just eight carries for 16 yards. This is a far cry from last week’s three touchdown runs in the first quarter. Can he make this more of a game in the second half? The Bears lead at halftime, 26-3.
Adrian Peterson Fantasy Update: Minnesota Vikings RB Struggles In 1st Half Against Chicago Bears
Peterson is averaging just under 100 yards per game this season with 498 rushing yards and six touchdowns through his first five weeks of the 2011 NFL season, including three touchdowns last week. He also has nine receptions for 49 yards on the season, which is down significantly from his receiving numbers the past two years.
Peterson's still among the elite fantasy football players, and was ranked by Yahoo! as the fifth best running back in Week 6 with the Vikings going up against a Bears defense ranked 28th against the run.
