Pierre Garcon has quickly become Curtis Painter's favorite option, but it didn't exactly pay fantasy football dividends on Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts wide receiver had plenty of receptions, but his statistics were only solid in points per reception leagues.
Pierre Garcon Fantasy Update: Colts WR Caught 8 Passes, But Compiled Few Yards
Garcon caught the most balls of any Colts receiver as he hauled in eight receptions, but those eight catches translated into just 52 yards. Making matters worse, he also lost a fumble, costing his owners a few points in most standard scoring leagues.
Garcon was averaging 84 receiving yards a game with 420 receiving yards on the season and four touchdowns through his first five games of the 2011 NFL season. Garcon’s yards per game is up nearly 30 yards per game from last season.
Garcon was ranked by Yahoo! as the 20th ranked wide receiver heading into Week 6 taking on the Cincinnati Bengals who rank 3rd against the pass.
