Kevin Walter Fantasy Update: Matt Schaub’s Top Option Nets Just 52 Yards Through Air

Kevin Walter has been a bit of a fantasy football tease ever since his breakout season with the Houston Texans in 2007 and a solid follow-up in 2008. With Andre Johnson out again for Sunday's game against the Baltmiore Ravens, it represented another chance for him to regain some fantasy impact.

Walter wasn't exactly able to capitalize, however, as the Texans wide receiver hauled in six passes for 52 yards and no touchdowns. It wasn't a bad day by any means as only running back Arian Foster had as many receptions for Houston, but he'll be looked at less when Johnson returns.

Walter was averaging 130 receiving yards a game with 222 receiving yards on the season and two touchdowns through his first five games of the 2011 NFL season. Walter’s receiving yards per game is down nearly 5 yards per game. Walter was ranked by Yahoo! as the 36th ranked wide receiver heading into Week 6 taking on the Houston Texans who rank 8th against the pass.
