Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire: Carson Palmer, DeMarco Murray Top List
SB Nation partner, playthisguy.com, gives us their latest chart for waiver wire claims. They survey fantasy football gurus around the Internet for their top picks, then create a composite ranking. This week they looked at 22 sources.
Because the Carson Palmer trade happened late today, most experts had already turned in their Week 7 waiver wire adds, so we don't see him on the list. But he's a definite add for anyone with quarterback problems.
Topping the list is Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray. He became the Cowboys main back once Felix Jones went down with a high-ankle sprain that will keep him out up to a month. (See our injury report, here). He has potential, but the Cowboys do not run the ball well, so temper your expectations. He'll also split some time with Tashard Choice.
The Chiefs were on a bye last week, so many leagues might still have Jackie Battle on the waiver wire, he's potentially a good option for rosters struggling with running backs or in need of a bye week fill-in. Also, a couple of AFC West quarterbacks in addition to Carson Palmer are popular names this week - Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
