Fantasy Football Week 8 Waiver Wire: The Return Of Plaxico
In our earlier advice post for the Week 8 waiver wire, we referenced a list of 200 players and their potential value for the rest of the season. It makes a nice reference chart for waiver wire decision-making. Now, we’ll narrow it down a little. Our partner, numberfire.com, looks at how players are performing recently against the regular projected averages to identify mid-level guys who could be on the way to having consistent fantasy value. The higher the percentage above average, the hotter they are, and likely to be hot on the waiver wire.
Then there’s the other side of the ledger. Tracking guys who are under-performing and could be considered as a drop, or a trade if you can sucker someone. If you do nothing else, you must consider the bench for some of these guys.
