Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em Or Sit ‘Em: Redskins Injuries Provide Opportunity

We still have live, updating start and sit widgets running here, but we also wanted to take another perspective. Our partner, playthisguy.com surveyed 18 fantasy experts to come with a list of 10 consensus start and 10 consensus sits.

Start

Darren Sproles was already a pretty good bet his weekend with the Saints battling the Rams who can't defend the run. Now that Mark Ingram is likely to miss the game, Sproles is even a hotter pick. The experts also like the three Redskins that will have to up their production due to injury, Fred Davis, Ryan Torain and Jabar Gaffney. Knowshon Moreno looks like he have to take on a bigger load this week because Willis MacGahee is not likely to play.

Sit

DeAngelo Williams was the top back for the Carolina Panthers, but that position is under siege from Jonathan Stewart who has been coming on the past few weeks. Plus, Cam Newton is eating up carries and the Vikings are a tough run defense. The duo of Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty in Cleveland are a tough call. No one knows if Hillis will play, and if he does, how the carries and yards will break down. And the Browns are facing a good 49ers defense. And finally, in a move certainly to raise some eyebrows, the experts don't like the Steelers defense this weekend. Sure, they're playing the Patriots, but it's still the Steelers defense, bench them at your own risk.

Week 8 Sit

1. DeAngelo Williams (RB) CAR vs. MIN
2. Sidney Rice (WR) SEA vs. CIN
3. Kevin Kolb (QB) ARI @ BAL
4. Montario Hardesty (RB) CLE @ SF
5. Peyton Hillis (RB) CLE @ SF
6. Victor Cruz (WR) NYG vs. MIA
7. Marshawn Lynch (RB) SEA vs. CIN
8. Eric Decker (WR) DEN vs. DET
9. Greg Olsen (TE) CAR vs. MIN
10. Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST vs. NE
