Andre Johnson Ruled Out For Sunday

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Johnson injured his hamstring in the first half of a Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnson was able to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday, but was held out of Friday's practice as head coach Gary Kubiak targets a Week 9 return for the five-time Pro Bowler.

”It’s frustrating because I want to be on the field, it’s still a day-to-day thing,” Johnson told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle on Friday. “I still don’t feel right, and I don’t want to do anything to make it worse. I’m just going to keep working the way I have. I’ve made progress.”

Despite missing the last three weeks, Johnson ranks second on the Texans with 25 receptions, and his 352 receiving yards are just three behind tight end Owen Daniels.
