Houston Texans star wide receiver Andre Johnson will be out this week against the Oakland Raiders. Johnson had been off to a hot start with at least 7 receptions and 90+ yards in the first three games before injuring his hamstring last week. Johnson recently had surgery on his hamstring and is expected to miss a couple of weeks. Apparently his hamstring had been bothering him since training camp and had some scare tissue removed from his previously surgically repaired knee.
Andre Johnson Status Update: Texans Receiver Out With Hamstring
Johnson could be back as early as Week 8, but in the time being the next target in line for the Texans is likely Jacoby Jones. The guy who's second in receptions however, is tight end Owen Daniels followed by tight end/fullback James Casey. I would expect the Texans to lean more on the run and their tight ends while Johnson is out, but Jacoby Jones could be a nice WR3 type pick up.
