Beanie Wells Status: Cardinals RB Officially Active

Beanie Wells is officially active for the Cardinals this week. This should not come as a surprise: despite officially being listed as questionable with a hamstring, he didn't miss a practice all week.

Wells was questionable heading into last week's game, but that didn't stop him from carrying his heaviest load of the season. He ran the ball 27 times for 138 yards while scoring three touchdowns against the Giants. For the season, Wells is averaging an impressive 5.4 yards per carry, although the Vikings hope to knock that number down this week.

Minnesota has done an excellent job stopping the run: they’re fifth in the league by giving up just 76.3 rushing yards per game, and they rank sixth by allowing just 3.3 yards per carry. They’ve given up just three rushing touchdowns on the year, half of what they’ve allowed through the air.
