Philip Rivers Fantasy Recap: Lots Of Yards, But Even More Mistakes

First, the good news: Philip Rivers connected on 26-of-41 passes for 369 yards against the Chiefs. Now, the bad news: Rivers failed to find the end zone once and turned the ball over three times -- including a fumble in the red zone during the final minutes of regulation when the Chargers were killing the clock in preparation for a potentially game-winning field-goal.

As Rivers' lofty passing total proves, San Diego certainly has the components needed for a devastating aerial attack, including two big and athletic wide receivers in the 6-foot-5, 230-pound Vincent Jackson and similarly-sized Malcom Floyd, and a matchup nightmare in tight end Antonio Gates.

He’s now averaging just a shade under 300 yards per game, but he has 11 interceptions to just seven touchdowns in seven games to show for it. It’s hard to give up on a guy producing these yards, but his constant mistakes and inability to find the end zone are killing his fantasy owners.
