Felix Jones Injury Status Update: Dallas Cowboys RB Considered Day-To-Day

Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones is currently considered day-to-day as he works to come back from a high ankle sprain suffered October 16 against the New England Patriots. The full extent of Jones' status will be known better when practice participation reports are released Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Cowboys have relied on rookie running back DeMarco Murray during Jones' absence and went so far as to waive former backup Tashard Choice. The Cowboys running back depth chart includes Jones, Murray and Phillip Tanner. While Jones could very well be available this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, it would most likely be in an emergency role. At best he likely would get a few carries, but not much more. Murray brings a good thing to the table for the Cowboys right now, so there is no real rush to get Jones back on the field.

The Cowboys face a Seattle Seahawks defense that has struggled at times, but has generally been solid against the run. Last week, Cincinnati Bengals running back Bernard Scott finished with 76 yards but needed 22 carries reach it. DeMarco Murray remains the start in Dallas and is a solid enough option against the Seahawks.
