The Minnesota Vikings suffered a blowout at the hands of the Green Bay Packers and rookie QB Christian Ponder was unable to get much of anything going all game long. Ponder finished 16 of 34 for 190 yards and one interception. He also rushed twice for 17 yards. It was a slight statistical regression from his recent performances, but playing up in Lambeau Field is never easy.
Christian Ponder Fantasy Stats: Vikings QB Struggles In Lambeau
Ponder is nowhere near an elite NFL quarterback, and probably shouldn't be considered more than a situational replacement in fantasy leagues. But he has put up numbers in limited action in 2011, throwing for 219 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers in Week 7 and 236 yards and a touchdown against the Panthers in Week 8. Performances like that won't win weeks, but they might keep fantasy players afloat.
